We're currently seeking a Sterile Processing Technician with at least one year of experience to work Per Diem shifts.

Essential Duties:

The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the decontamination and sterilization of reusable instruments and equipment to be used for direct patient care.  The position requires thorough knowledge of both departmental and hospital-wide policies and procedures relevant to the decontaminating and packaging and sterilizing of Instruments, equipment, and supplies.  Interpretative skills frequent interactive and consultative associations are inherent in the position.  The ability to retrieve communicates, or otherwise present information in a written, auditory, or visual fashion is essential.  The primary method to express or exchange ideas is through the spoken word.  Writing, telephone, and manual dexterity skills are required for the position.  The Sterile Processing Technician demonstrates a working, basic knowledge of OR instrumentation used throughout the facility.  Also should demonstrate knowledge of equipment and technology as it pertains to the Sterile Processing department.
